Hi, I'm Steve Honey, a therapist based in St. Pete, Florida. I work with entrepreneurs, business owners, and people navigating the demands of building something while staying connected to what matters most. I also work with clients navigating grief, loss, addiction, relationship challenges, and the everyday difficulty of feeling stuck or anxious.

My Background

Entrepreneurship has been part of my life since I was a kid — I grew up around it, and spent seven years working as a real estate agent before returning to school to pursue clinical social work with the goal of building my own private practice. I understand the isolation, the constant decision-making, and the pressure that comes with building — and maintaining — something.

How I Work

My approach is rooted in a strengths-based, person-in-environment perspective. I draw from existential frameworks, client-centered humanistic approaches, solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic insight. All of that is to say, I believe each of us is inherently resilient and capable of change. I acknowledge and appreciate that we each have a unique nature, while at the same time acknowledging the influence that our environment and experiences can have on us. Including the meaning we place on our experience. My approach is flexible and tailored to the unique needs of each person, because healing and change are rarely one-size-fits-all.
